Show Indictments. The grand jury appears to have devoted considerable of its time to Weber county. Yesterday four ladies of Plain city were arraigned to answer iadiclments for illegal voting, and hat evening's Junction Bays that a Mr. Hays of Taylorsville and Robert Siiaddoo of Ogden, have been arrested, ar-rested, the lormer on an indictment for perjury and the latter for an assault and battery. The four Indies mentioned above pleaded not guilty, gave the required bonds, and were released. A Mr. SpierB, justice of the peace for the Plain city precinct, was required to plead fur wrorgfully exercising the functions of his office, his commiasion not having been received re-ceived from the governor; and Mr. Butler ot the Bame place pleaded nut guilty of perjury. |
