Show Death, ef David Day. ilr. David Day, the senior partner of the firm of Day & Co., died at his residence in this city on Sunday morning. While he had been suffering suffer-ing many y ears with a lung affection, his death was somewhat sudden and unexpected, his last and fatal sickness sick-ness being of only a week's duration. At the time of his death he wr.s 52 years and 9 days old. He was one o( the earlv residents of Utah, having come to this city twenty-six years ago. For many years, and up to the time of his death, be was engaged in the mercantile business, in which be was successful, and leaves his family in easy circumstances. Mr. Day was well known throughout the territory as an honorable, upright business man. He will be buried to day, at 11 o'clock, the funeral being conducted con-ducted in the 14th ward echoolhouse. |
