Show Sixes the 1st of March the railroads rail-roads have taken ovor 3,000 people in the direction of the San Juan mines, Southern Colorado, and nearly as many more have come over the plains in trains bound thither. It is thought that fully 10,000 people will be added to the population of that section diirine the summer. The large share of these immigrants are from the Missouri valley, and some from Iowa, Illinois and further east. The dull times aud poor prospects of business are likely to prove beneficial t to the territories, and whenever good uiiuing prospects exist there are hundreds hun-dreds in the impoverished east ready to pack up their traps and join the great western current. |
