During that day, while the mercury ranged from to 110 in the shade, according to the United States signal service record Salt Lake city was enjoying a mean temperature of 62, the highest point reached being 603, at 2.15 p.m. The highest temperature recorded here this season was 94', on June 20th at 2,15 p.m. The great relief of our Bummer climate is in iU cool nights, tho temperature usually falling during dur-ing the night from 20 to 30 degrees below the highest point reached in the daytime. We believe that the average aver-age summer range of the thermometer thermome-ter in this valley is as low, if not lower, than that of any other Rocky Mountain Moun-tain point of a similar altitude. |
