The Moniteur, semiofficial, semi-official, says: At the close of this morning's council President Mac-Mahon Mac-Mahon plainly informed Messrs. De Broglie and Four ton that the idea of ministerial changes could not be entertained en-tertained at the present moment. The leading American residents of Paris met at the American legation to-day and decided to give General Grant a splendid subscription banquet on Saturday. Five hundred guests, including ladies, have been invited. Minister Noyes informed the meeting that President MacMahon would not be present atthe dinner at the legation lega-tion on Monday, but would at the subsequent reception. GeneralGrant will probably visit President MacMahon Mac-Mahon on Tuesday or Wednesday. President MacMahon will give a dinner din-ner at the Elysee to General Grant and the American legation., |
