Tbe Journal's Wath-ington Wath-ington apeci&l says : l'iucliback lioa written Mitchell of the senate elec-tiom elec-tiom committee, recallingJiis attention atten-tion to the lact that his second credentials, cre-dentials, bearing date of July 13th, 1875, had never been acted on by tbe senate, and reviewing his claim to a seat in the senate. The latter aays that these credentials are at present as valid a claim to a seat in tbe senate of the United StateB as tboee presented by either Kellogg or Eustie, ajid he begs respectfully to submit that tbey are entitled to and Bbould receive the careful consideration of the committee commit-tee on privileges and elections. Mr. Mitchell will lay this letter before the committee to-morrow tor its action. Pinch back arrived here last night to look after his claim, and to-day made a personal application: to Mr. Mitchell to be heard. He asserts that bis credentials are regular im form and antedate those held by Eustie.
