In the general council of the Reformed Episcopal church, to-day, the report of the general gen-eral committee, composed of bishops, and others, was adopted. It recoui-1 mends that tho presiding bishop be paid $4,000 salary, with 1 000 travel-! ing expenses. The committee on the synod of Chicago reported that the synod was legally and canonically formed. The committee, therefore, recommended that said election ol bishop be confirmed. Resolutions were adopted amendatory of the constitution, con-stitution, eo as to make those holding .Episcopal office, bishops of the re formed church, without any territorial terri-torial designation or jurisdiction. |
