Tho learn will considt of eight, with two reserves and a captain and ad jutant. It was decided that the committee com-mittee on selection be limited to three, aud given full power. Col. Snfortl favored a committee of five, whereby San Francisco, New Orleans or Cni-cago Cni-cago could be represented. A full report will bo made to the board of directors to morrow night. The following fol-lowing plan was submitted by a committee com-mittee of the rill team of last year: Competition for place on the team for '77, ti be held at Creedmoor and open to all comers who are native born citizens of the United States or territories, aud that an address be issued aud published through the prees inviting all long range rinemen - to participate, eix general competitions to be opened as soon as practicable. Iu each competition compe-tition filteeu shots are to be fired at 800, 900 and 1,000 yards, without sighting shots or spotting by any ether person than the competitor. Previous practice on tho day of tho competition, or giving and receiving inlormation is forbidden.
