Show AN ORDINANCE All ENDING "AS ORDINANCE LICENSING AND RttiL'LATlNG THt SALE OF Si'lR-ITL'OUS Si'lR-ITL'OUS AND FERMENTED LlyCORs," passed august Sxh, 1670, Section 1. - it ordained hy ih-City ih-City Council of Salt l.ike Ci7(,"that Section 6 of an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Licencing and Regulating Regu-lating the sale of Spiri'.U'ms and Fermented Fer-mented Liquors," passed August Stn.1 1876, be aud is hereby amended so as to read: Sec. 0. Any person obtaining License under this Ordinance snail be subject to the fjilowmg regulations: He shall luiihfully observe and keep nil ordiuauces if; fjree in relation to liquor during the period of eucd licenee; he shall not keep open hip iiar, uo lsc, or pluce for the sa!c of liquors, nor t-el, give awAy. nor in wily manner dial in by himself, scr v.int or other person, any niriluous or fermenti-d liqmra bu-t ween the hours ot ten o'clock p.m. and sx o'clock a.m., on any dny of the week; he shall prohibit all gaming, with or without betting, by means of dominoes, cards, dice or other articles, arti-cles, every game of chance, and every other description cf gaming or gambling; gam-bling; and on the proclamation of tbe mayor for all liquor establishments establish-ments to be closed, he hall discontinue discon-tinue business during the period of such proclamation. He shall not in anywise dispose of liquors to any person per-son under sixteen yeara ofage, nor to any Indian; he shall prohibit musio, dancing, drunkenness and all riotous or disorderly conduct on his premises. He shall not barter, sell, or give away any spirituous, vinous or fermented liquors, on the first day ef tbe week, commonly called Sunday, except he be the keeper of a drug Gtore, and then oulv for medicinal Durooses. on the prescription of a regularly licensed physician, and any person per-son violating any of tbo provisions of this section, shall, ou conviction convic-tion thereof, be fined in finy sum nut deciding ninety-nine dollars, dol-lars, or ba imprisoned not exceeding one r.undrcd days, or both; ProvideJ, that when any person is convicted of disposing of any of the before-men tioutd liquors on Sunday, he shall, in addition to the punishment heretofore hereto-fore prescribed, forfeit his license; ud any person convicted a second time of disposing of any such liquors during prohibited hours on days oilier than Sunday, ehall nUo forfeit his license, and any pcrdon whose license has been bo lorftited shall not he grautcd another license to rugage i'i such business lor oue year thereafter. there-after. Section 2. That section seven of said ordinance is hereby amended io as to read: Section 7. If any person Bball keep any house or place within tbe corporate limits of this city, fur tbe purpose of selling, or otherwise dis posing of spirituous or fermented liquors, as provided in this ordinance, ordi-nance, without first having obtained a license therefor, as bereio provided, ou conviction thereof be ehall pay a fine ol ninety nine dollars for the first offence, and if convicted of a second oflense, a fine of ninety-nine dollars, aud be imprisoned not to exceed thirty days; and lor each suhsequeut cou-viction cou-viction a fine of ninety-nine dollars aud imprisonment not to exceed ono hundred days. If auy restaurant keeper shall allow Bpiriluous or fermented fer-mented liquors to bo drank on his plenties at any time prohibited in this ordinance, he Bhall, on conviction, convic-tion, be liable to a fine in any Bum not exceeding ninety nine dollars, and for the second oflense shall, in addition addi-tion to such fine, forfeit his license as such restaurant keeper, and shall not be granted another license for a term ! of six mouths thereafter.
