Show BINGHAM. Ximag and Other Matters in th.e Uqairrh BisaHAjfCixoir, May 7, 1878. Editors Strald: Since the wtather has moderated Bingham haa begun to show more signs of life aud business. Bates & Egan'a mill started up on Thursday morning last, working on the St3amboat gold ore, aud will make a long run. Mr. Seamons baa returned from New York and resumed work on the Gray Ejgle, which is yielding some high grade ore. I have before stated that the mines in this district speak for themselves' aod many of them yield handsome incomes to their owners. I noticed , mention being made iu the HsiiiLD of one piece of properly, the owner of which clipped tbe item and mailed it to a brother of his in Scotland. I would not have thought so much of this little incident, but that the fellow was a "liberal" and mailed ' hb pet sheet whole to his distaut relative, but was not "liberal" enough to send more Uid a clipping from a baiter paper. He is one of the kind who generally cut ofl their noses to apite their f-icea. Malice, envy and folly are "libere.1" stapVs with a number of the "liberal" element, aud this fellow's got a "liberal" supply sup-ply of it. John Kelly and Mrs. Kelly of California Cali-fornia have been delighting the denizens deni-zens of tbis camp with their wonderful wonder-ful music. I must say that "Uncle John" is bard to beat. Many hero think the passage by congress of the law to redeem $G00.-000,000 $G00.-000,000 of paper currency, will aflect the pooror classes here and all over the country; but if sliver coin is made the standard of 412 trains, and Bilver the same free coinage aa 'gold, and the certificates the Bame j denominations as greenbacks, I he .people will have plenty of money.
