Editors Herald: The present term of the intermediate intermedi-ate department ol the Brigham city academy having expired, last Friday was a day of review. The majority of the students are ladies. All have made favorable progress in the vari-1 ous branches of study. The best order prevails in the school, and everything presents a neat and tidy appearance. The best kind of imported desks and seats are in use. Mrs. Minnie Snow, the instructress, has secured the highest respect and friendship from her pupils, who, at the close of the day's exercises, presented her with an elegantly bound hymn book, as a token ot esteem, etc. Yesterday, at Call's Fort, we enjoyed en-joyed a very interesting time in meeting meet-ing with the Sabbath schoolsof Superintendents Super-intendents John Nye and Ezra J. Barnard, in the upper school house. Call's Fort, with its rich soil, blooming bloom-ing fields and gardens, and solid improvements, im-provements, is situated six miles north of Brigham city, on the Utah North ern railroad. Its district runs several miles in a direct line on the railroad, and has two good Bchool houses built of rock, in building wb,ich the people taxed themselves as much as bix per cent., and felt no poorer afterward. The average daily attendance of pupils pu-pils is about twenty-seven in each school, which indicates that a limited numbor of families built the school houses. Tho ice having broke up now in Bear river, crossing at Hampton's place is rendered impossible, but the force of men rebuilding the bridge are confident that the work will be completed within a short time. ' Box Elder. President Young; at the Concert. Last night President Brigham Young occupied his private box at the theatre, apparently in excellent health, and heartily enjoying the excellent ex-cellent entertainment given by the Alleghanians. I).
