Show Mm. Minnie Sherman Fitch couldn't wait to get her Egyptian jewels out of uncle Sam's dutches, but had to go down to the New York custom bouso with her husband and a laree party of ladies and gentlemen to try them on. One of her friends assisted as-sisted her to clasp tho necklace around her throat and to clasp the drops in her ears. The parlor was darkened to display the full brilliancy of the gems. The ladies were rapturous over the jewels, and tho fair wearer kept them on until they hod been inspected in-spected and examined twice over. |
