Show 1 Shooting at Sandy. There was a shooting affray at Sandy station yesterday, but furtun-nately furtun-nately for all concerned no one was hurt. The conductor on tho AY. & J. 1 V- road and a brakesman got into ' difficulty over some trifling affair, and the latter drew his revolver and ired three shots at the other. The , bullets made close calls for the conductor, con-ductor, and one of them grazed his forehead, but he came out of the war unhurt. A crowd of men at the station sta-tion caught the brakesman, and threatened to lynch him. For a time the man's hold on life was exceedingly ex-ceedingly slender. However tho excited crowd acted the wiser part and locked the shootist in the station : house. |
