A Madrid dispatch cay a considerable alarm baa been oauied in that capital by the appearance appear-ance of twenty cases ot what was sap-posed sap-posed to be typhus fever, in one of the moBt populous quarters of the city. Three of tho sufferers having been admitted into tbe hospital, the doctoia declare that their symptoms are those ot yellow fover and that the infection was brought from Cuba by soldiers. The patienta in the hospital are in a critical condition. Of tbe persons attacked at-tacked and treated at home eight or ten died. The board of health declares that there iB no lear ot epidemic, epi-demic, but every precaution i being taken to prevent a spread ol the dm-ease. |
