Show leaking. At the opening of court yesterday morning Juilge McKeau sent for the grand jurors, and on their appearing aeserted that one of their number had been "leaking" divulging what had occurred in the grand jury room; and eaid that probably by to morrow (today) (to-day) the court wjuld have evidence that another of the body was perjuring perjur-ing himself by exposing the secrets of the inquisition. The jurors alleged that witnesses hml in some instances reported on the outside their testimony testi-mony in the jury room, also, that the I room was ho situated that parties on the exterior could hear what was going go-ing on inside. The judge suggested that the oath to witnesses be so framed as to bind them not to reveal anything which occurred in the jury room, and then sent the jurors back to their work. |
