Show Gone. Who has seen Charles Miller? is the ' question th.it was asked many t4mes 1 yesterday. Miller was a clerk in the employ ot Mr. Julius Jordan, cigar dealer. The latter had been south twelve days, and returned on Friday. During his absence Miller was in charge of the business and on Mr ! J's. coming back, reported that he had lost the keys to the d-;-k,a:id went out to get another. As he did not return, at 10 o'clock that night Mr. Jordan went to his (M's.) house, in the Sen ward. Miller was at home and said that the reason he had not gone back to the store was that he dared not "face the music;"' he was crazy and had appropriated the money taken in during J's. absence to his own use. However, he pro:n ised to go to the store oa Saturday, but instead of his putting in An Appearance Ap-pearance on that day, hiss wife sont aj note stating that Miller had left de- j I daring that he would kill hiuu-'ll. Up to last evening he had not returned re-turned and his friends were anxiously looking for him. It is (eared th.it he may have executed his threat of destroying des-troying himself. Mr. Jordan says that as near as he can now learn Miller took $Uo in cash and about $70 worth of cig-irs. |
