Show AFTER tLAGETT. It must bo pleasant for delegate CIngctt to read a little commendatory article like this from the Helena Herald, at one time his staunch supporter : In the unenviable predicament in which Mr. Clagett has by his own choice and act placed himself, ho may find some consolation in the fast that, while censured and denounced herein by the great mass of his constituents, aod by nono more emphatically than those who clcated him to congress, encouragement en-couragement will reach him from the Northwest and its coterie, and he will be told to proceed on his way to glory and the Gentiles. He refuses to right a wrong when appealed to do so by those who had the best reason to expect ex-pect his compliance with their request, and returns answer that he must and will try to pass his bill, the earnest protestations and prayers of his warmest warm-est friends, personal and" political, to the contrary notwithstanding! |
