It is reported from Washington that tho irregularities irregulari-ties now going on before the Ways and Means committee, gives plausibility to the stories heretofore current, con-corning con-corning tho manner in which bills woro tampered with at the closo of the last session ot Congress. At that time it will doubtless bo remembered that sections of Internal Bcvenuo laws relating re-lating to tobacco, whisky and stamps, were altered so as to take effect August Aug-ust 1st, instead of July 1st, as directed direct-ed in the act as passed. Other irregularities irreg-ularities of liko suspicious character were also discovered.
