Show By W. U. Tolagraph. THE O'KELLEY CASE. Havana, 2. Tbo commander of the English gunboat Plover, after a consultation con-sultation with the British consul at Santiago do Cuba, sailed for Manzanillo and arrived there to day. The commander com-mander positively asked the authorities to dclivor O'Kelley to him, promising to carry him to Jamaica and guaranteeing guaran-teeing that he should not return to Cuba. The Manzanillo authorities consulted captain general Pielton, by telegraph, who answered it was impossible impos-sible to grant the commaoder'a request; that he was powerless to alter the laws of the country, and that the trial must proceed according to law. |
