We acknowledge thc receipt of an invitation from the students of the Ogdcn Seminary, famish Professor Monoh, to attend their Christmas Eve party, the entertainment enter-tainment to consist of recitations, singing sing-ing and dancing. The inability to attend at-tend is cause for regret, tho more so as tho good sense which diotatod the manner of arranging the committees could not fail of nukiog an excellent party. The several oommittces were composed in equal numbers of ladies and gentleman, an idea at once novel and sensible. Were party committees more generally so arranged, it is presumable pre-sumable there would be less complaint of "mixed partios," and the introduction introduc-tion of an elemoot into thorn which wcll-balanocd young ladies havo a decided de-cided aversion to oomo in oontaot witb. Wo hope our young frionds in Ogdcn had a god time last night. |
