Show Tub Ooden Ball. Tho boll of the telegraphers, given at Ogden upon Friday evening, was a success in every respect, the gentlemen of the lightning profession, with their fair partner.?, enjoying an entertainment which the Ogden Junction declares ''one of tho most superb" ever given in that boro'. To tbo Juuctioo we are indebted for particulars, our representative of the "art sublime" being unable to attend. The music stand was festooned with the stars and stripes, wlrle portraits of Washington aud Morse occupied eon spicuous positions upon the wall?. A telegraph line within the hall was improvised for tbc occasion, over which were sent messages of as wdi;hty importaueo as the affair demanded, whilo a telegraph quadrille was a feature fea-ture of the eveniop. At twelve o'clock a sumptuous supper was scivcd by Messrs. Erb & Noll is. Many prominent promin-ent citizens of Oyden were in attendance, attend-ance, and tbo tolegraphers of that town received credit for an amount of ability in tbo mazy danco seoond only to that displayed by them upon the wires. All of which was to be expected. |
