Show Camp Floyd. In speaking of this district a few days ago, wo stated, upon up-on information, that the Shaw mill would bo ready to run within fifteen days. Yesterday wo learned authoritatively authori-tatively that the mill might be ready to start by the 20th of May, but that if the weather continued unpropitious so as to delay the completion of the furnaces, fur-naces, it would not commence operation opera-tion before June 1st. The superintendent superinten-dent has very wisely determined not to commence running the mill until everything every-thing is in perfect readiness. lhcse flurries and balky starts are always damaging to mining and milling enterprises. enter-prises. In the meantime the mine is yielding about thirty tons of line ore daily, and the English owners who are here are elated with its splendid appearance. |
