Baker's Evidence. It will be recollected that the witness Baker, who testified on the first day of tho present investigation of the Robinson murder case, stated positively that he attended a performance at the theatre : on the night of the murder the 22d of October, JSOC. Yesterday tho defense de-fense introduced witnesses by whom they proved positively that there was no performance at tho theatre on that evening, consequently, Mr. Baker baa made a vital, if not a fatal mistake in his statement.
