Show Released. John L. Brasher, not Brazier as heretofore printed, who was arrested, with others, on the charge of being engaged in the murder of Dr. I Robinson, was ordered to be released on 'Tuesday morning by Judge iMe-1 iMe-1 Kcjii, there hoing no evidence uilro-I uilro-I duccd which in any manner implicated j him in connection with the matter. , j Notwithstanding this order it wa. two 1 o'clock yesterday af'Lcrnoon before ho i was released, having been coniiucd in j the common guard house at Camp I Douglas, where he enjoyed some ngrce-! ngrce-! able society, among others that of Bill j Hickman. This man was arrested J and, without any examination what-j what-j ever, was taken to Camp Douglas and I confined in a military prison, and de- tained several days, to the mortiiication 1 and annoyance of himself and friends, I and then, without being brought into court or a shadow of evidence appcar-J appcar-J iug against him, he is graciously rc- leased without so much as an apology. ; Now the question arises, who is responsible re-sponsible for this faUc incarceration? I We think if wc wore iu Mr. Brasher' s place we should try and find out. |
