Show A Fine Bcildino. Mr. Charles Trowbridgo's now building is Hearing completion, and iy in every scire creditable- to tho growth of the city. With a frontage of twenfy-nino feet, formed by a handsome iron front, iron win-down, win-down, mIIs and cap, from tho works of Pullis & liro., St. Louis, tho main building runs back ninety-six feet and a half, three stories, with a height of forty-three feet six inches, including the fire wall. Running north and south, at tho west end of the main structure, is a capacious billiard room, seventy-seven by forty-five and a half fect, eighteen lect ceiling, lighted with windows all around. Tho whole edifice edi-fice covers an area of 0,303 square feet. The north front corner of the main building is occupied by tho banking house of Messrs. A. W. White & Co. South of it is tho entraucc to the billiard room, eight feet wide, and running hack fifty feet. Nest south of this entrance en-trance is the stairway to tho second and third stories; the first story having a ceiling sixteen feet high, the socond twelve and tho third eleven feet. In the rear of tho bank is a large room, fifty feet by twenty-nine, where are two billiard tables and tho bar; while in the main billiard room there are twolvo tables; the fourteen tables being from Phelan & Collandcr. Tho entiro floor of the first story is black walnut and ash. The bar is built of black walnut, oak, ash and chestnut. Tho billiard keeper's stand is of black walnut and butternut. Tho doors, which arc also of black walnut, are masterpieces of workmanship. Tho wainscot ting of the billiard room is of black walnut, Oregon pine and red wood, and presents a most handsome appearance. No paint is used in the room, the whole being finished in oil and varnish And the Venetian blinds are of white cedar. The structure will be lighted in all parts with a gas apparatus, manufactured manufac-tured by the Gilbert & Barker manufacturing manu-facturing works, Springfield, Mass. Tho second story will bo oacupied as offices;- and the third story, containing contain-ing fifteen handsome, well-ventilated rooms, lighted with gas, will be occupied occu-pied in connection with the Salt Lake House, by Messrs. Tildcn & Lawrence. The brick work was done byJno. Tud-denham Tud-denham & Son, 20th ward, of this city; the carpenter work by Kendall &Rom-ney; &Rom-ney; the -plastering by Wm. Nowell; and the painting by Tullidgc-& Mc-Avoy: Mc-Avoy: Mr. Trowbridge expects to formally open the billiard rooms, with tho building fully completed and lighted, insido of two weeks.
