Show That Peisoxee. Wo understand that Marshal Patrick and his deputies made another demand upon Warden Ilockwocj for tl.r prr-on cf il.c prisoner pris-oner Killfuyie y..;tcry morning, which demand was refused, tho War-jden War-jden requiring the Marshal to produce an order of Court bi-foro delivering up a prisoner committed to his charge by due course of law. We suppose that tho matter will bo finally settled this : morning when we shall see whether the Federal officials will persist in their j course, and tread under foot the Territorial Terri-torial laws, and every principle of ritht and justice, in pursuing their mad and despotic career. We have known U. S. Marshals to override law in Utah before to-day, and have subsequently seen them answer to it and pay the penally of their official misdeeds. The experience of Marshal Pete Dotson should not be lost upon the preseDt incumbent. |
