Show Blnuha.m Can Von. The Utah silver sil-ver mining company, which has been operating in Bingham canyon for several sev-eral months, has at length developed a very valuable miuiog property. The several incliue shal'U which have been run in on the vein display a body of n ivat.1 trc,!v,i in niohteen feet in width, of a good paying quality, and it is safe to estimate from present appearances ap-pearances that there are ten thousand tons of ore available, which can bp pro duced at a comparatively small cost. The main shaft on the mine, which is seven by thirteen feet, is divided into three distinct departments, one for the purpois of pumping or drainiug the mine and the others for ore cage?. The developments upon this mine have been so promising as to induce the company to go to an extensive outlay in procuring hoisting machinery for the proper working of the mine, which is now daily arriving nnd being pla;ed in position in the mine. There are two calcincrs ninety feet in length each, erected for tho purposo of roast-linn roast-linn iVt The machinery re ferred to consists in part or' two link motion reversible engines of 160 horse power, with two tubular boilers of forty-eight inches diameter, together with reels and other necessary appendages, append-ages, making a complete set of hoisting works. 4 lurS lot f fucl is 0D the ground, and an ample store ofiron and other metals for flux. The calcincrs will bo started up to-day, and it is the intention of the superintendent to have the smelting worfcs m operation aoout the 10th instant, This is doubtless a good property and the compauy which owns and controls it is an enterprising, lair dealing and energetic one. |
