Show The Lan grishk Trol'PE. e regret re-gret to say that the favorable opinion formed on the first appearance of the Langrishe troupe has not been sustained sus-tained in subsequent performances. They have evidently been accustomed to play in smaller buildings than the theatre here, and half of the language is lost midway between the stage and the audience. Two or three of the company are tame and spiritle.v, and were it not for the really good playing of Mr. Langrishe himself, the perform-anees perform-anees would present too many of the features of a tedious monotony. It was a mistake to underline the names of Mr. and Miss Couldoek and they not appear us per announcement, Public expectmcy looked for them, anticipating an-ticipating something excellent on their appearance, and the disappointment has resulted in limited business to the company. |
