Show The Sevier Mjnes. Major Gor-linski, Gor-linski, of the U. S. Surveyor General's Gener-al's office for this Territory, informs us that during his recent surveys in the Sevier country he visited Bullion city and the mines there. The mines are extensive and similarly situated to those in Little Cottonwood. From the examination of specimens and the statements state-ments made to him, he thinks they are as rich in gold and silver bearing quartz as any yet discovered in Utah. There is also copper ore there. The mines are principally chloride formations forma-tions in granite. The miners are mostly from Nevada. There are from forty to fifty men at Bullion city, but a number num-ber had left temporarily until machinery ma-chinery would be taken in, and that is on the way, the Major having met it going down as ho was coming up to the city. |
