Show Moke Meat Markets. We have frequently been asked to suggest to our City Fathers the propriety of having more than one meat market in this city. There are several points given in defense de-fense of the suggestion, which wc may refer to at some future time. But in view of our city extending so rapidly, rapid-ly, and the population becoming more dense, hence requiring more of this article ar-ticle of food, the business will continually continu-ally be on the increase, and the piling up of more meat than is in the present market is not a thing to be desired. It is also inconvenient to those at either extremity of the city to be compelled to come, in some cases, two or three miles every day or so for a breakfast steak; and we think the appeal is worthy of consideration. The time of rtie request is also propitious, a3 the Wilding of a new meat market is now UQ'ler Way. Let tle corponU;on kcep a strict view on the quality of the meat sold, as heretofore, but with the requirements re-quirements above stated, let the ques-twnofurephcisof ques-twnofurephcisof s ilo htve some atteatwa from ihj muuicipil authorities. |
