begin Monday Sept 5 The mater was decided at a meeting of the trustees held yesterday There are to be 40 weeks bchobl in mostdistrcts which will bring the clpsing days bout June 16 after deductng forholdays The question of supplies was disc dis-c ssed and the supply committee heretofore here-tofore haying charge of this mater was abolished and the trustees of each precinct hereafter will look out for supPlies I sup-Plies for that precinct dealing with any company they CDQOse The question ques-tion of putting in ninth grade wont was discussed and the conclusion arrived at Frt it would be I mater and some of it of little interest to the genEral pbl I Reports of their work were had from J 11 Hansen of Ephraim N M Ran I sen of Salt Lake G L Marvin of Mer cur F N Lpham of Eureka A W Hatshorn of Corinne W Murphy of Payson J T Pierce of Ogden H W It Parker of Beaver and J D BIrd of K ephi A W Hartshorn was ordered transferred I trans-ferred to Colorado conference and several I sev-eral members were advanced in their st dies S Dr C B Spencer of the Rocky Moun tain Christian Adyoate addressed the conference in the interest of that periodical peri-odical and Dr VT A Spencer of Philadelphia I Phil-adelphia addressed the body in the interest in-terest of the Church Extension society which has built so many churches in Utah and in other states I There will be no official session o the conference until Monday morning at 9 oclock when A H Henry of Salt I Lake will open the session hy conductIng i conduct-ing the devotional exercises I I That will be the most important ses I sion as then all the reports will be heard from the various committees except ex-cept that on state of affairs in Utah it was discharged Friday without report re-port Then too at noon will be read the appointments for the ensuing year and the conferen e tvill be brought to a close Yesterday afternoon W Murphy of Payson preached the annual missionary mission-ary sermon and Mrs Giian of Salt Lake and others addressed the Wo mans Foreign Missionary society EVENING ADDRESS In the evening W A Spence D Dr of Philadelphia delivered an address on the church extension movement The evening session was presided I oe by Rev J T Pierce Dr Spen cet gave some vocal solos very er ver fe tvely and then gave an address on gae eI the subject of church building He sad that the socIety which he represent had bunt 12000 new Qhurches in 2 ear and a yet ther are 4000 con gregatons unsheltered 1e then gave illustrations and statistics to show the wonderful growth of the country and with it the
