1 A bill is now before the Michigan I I senate to permit the organization of anew a-new gas company with a 2000000 I i I I paidup capital stock to enter the I I Grand Rapids and Detroit fields The i bill is being pushed by E B Caldwell Cald-well of Kalamazoo secretary of the Michigan Fuel company an organization organiza-tion with a S2OuO000 paidup capital stock Prior to the advent of the com jpjiny at Kalamazoo that city was paying pay-ing 150 per 1000 cubic feet for its gas The new company charges but 30 and 50 cents per 1000 feet and claims its gas will give a better light foot per foot than that manufactured at any present pres-ent commercial gas plant
