Show REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS S Will Be Transferred From New York to Washington WASHINGTON Nov 13 There appears ap-pears to be good grounds for believing that the headquarters of the Republican national committee during the rest of the term will be transferred from New York to this city Mr Hann who is in Chi Cairo closed the quarters in that cty today The congressional committee whloh will have another contest on its hands two years hence will continue to have its headquarters in Washington and will maintain an effective but limited force of clerks although the building in which they will work has not yet been agreed upon These two committees com-mittees have been worked together in perfect harmony during the late campaign cam-paign and owing to the great amount of labor that can be done by the congressional con-gressional committee at a comDaratively small cost Mr Hanna believes that the two should be housed together so that the national committee can secure the mot assistance of its coworker Shortly after congress meets when all the members mem-bers of the congressional committee will be here it is understood that a conference confer-ence of the two committees will be held when the plan now tentatively agreed upon by Mr Hanna and Chairman Babcock of the other committee will be carefully worked out With the beginning begin-ning of the committee it is supposed the headquarters at New York will be closed |
