Show DEMOCRATIC STATE CONVENTION The Democratic state convention for the purpose of nominating three electors who will if elected cast their votes in the electoral college for William J Bryan for president and Arthur Sewall for vice president a candidate for representative in congress and to transact such other business as may properly come before it will be held at the city Ot Provo at 11 oclock a m on Thursday tne 24th day of September 1S9S The basis of representation in said convention con-vention shall be one delegate for every forty votes cast for Hon John T Caine for governor at the November election of 1895 apportioned among the several counties coun-ties as follows Beaver 8 Rich 5 Box Elder 17 San Juan 2 Cache 41Salt Lakeio Carbon 4jSanpete 35 Davis 15 Sevicr 14 Emery Summit 21 Garfl ld 5 Tooele S Grand 1 Uintah 6 Iron 6 Utah 64 Juab lliWasatch 11 Kane 2Washlngton 13 Millard Wayne 5 Morgan Weber 43 lweber 1 Piute 31 The several county committees are requested re-quested to call county conventions for the purpose of electing delegates to the state convention and to judicial and senatorial conventions and to nominate candidates for the legislature and county offices at least ten days before the time fixed for the state convention As soon as the same are chosen the chairman of each county committee shall forward to the secretary of the state committee certified lists of all delegates to the state convention and the names and postofllce addresses of all candidates nominated All voters Independent of past party affiliations are < nvlted to participate in the Democratic primaries ana ccn entons provided pro-vided they Intend voting for the Democratic Demo-cratic candidates By order of the Democratic Demo-cratic state committeC E A McDANIBL O W POWERS Secretary Chairman |
