Show RICH DE LAMAR STRIKE Great Ore Body Uncovered in the Altn Mine Several days ago The Herald made the announcementthat the Alta mine at Do Lamar Idaho ha been bonded to eastern east-ern people The Boise Statesman gives the following account of a rich strike In this property News has been received hero of a remarkably re-markably rich strike made In the Alta mine at DeLamar An air shaft Is being sunk Some time ago i struck Into mineralized min-eralized matter apparently a fat vein similar in that respect to the other veins in that vicinity During the past few days it became apparent that the ore was valuable val-uable and the whole ha been sampled The result of sampling and assaying has been astonishing The average value of the first fifty feet of ore is shown to be 2 per ton in gold Below this the shaft has penetrated two and a half fet of ore that has not yet been assayed but which shows to be very rich in the yellow yel-low metal Tho Alta mine joins the DeLamar mine I was recently bonded to Duluth parties who have transferred the bond to Chicago Chica-go capitalists The price at which the Chicago people take the property Is understood un-derstood to be 100000 and they have paid 5000 to bind the contract Green River Placers The boom predicted for the Green river placer fields this spring and summer already al-ready shows signs of life says the Green to River Wy Star Preparations work the fields by several parties have been noted in these columns from time to time This week a letter was received by Prank H Bentley of this city from Fred W Bosworth of McCook Neb secretary of the National Park Gold Mining Milling Mill-ing Development company stating that he was now in Denver looking at placer machines He says he thinks he has discovered dis-covered a machine that will save the fine gold of Green river and proposes bringing bring-ing one here as soon a the weather will permit and going to work The principal office of the above company is at McCook and is capitalized for 50000 I was organized or-ganized last February Its officers are R B Archibald president A Snyder vicepresident F W Bosworth secretary secreta-ry and U G Wolfe treasurer The company com-pany own and operate a number of mines in Wind River mountains Fremont county coun-ty this state Mr Bosworth is an old railroad man having formerly had charge of the roundhouse of the Union Pacific company at Cheyenne He visited Green river last summer and carefully examined the placers here Later he filed on eighty acres about twelve miles miles north south of the city and forty acres two |
