Show HAVE THEIR IDEAS UP Wool Growers Are Not Freely Accepting Ac-cepting Present Quotations Wool buyers returned to this < city yesterday afternoon for the purpose of spending Sunday here report that throughout the entire territory where the wool has not all been cleaned up the growers have their ideas inflated and are demanding all the way from 2 to 4 cents advance over the quotations quota-tions being made by the representatives representa-tives of not only the eastern but the local wool buying houses In consequence conse-quence of this very general desire for betters prices the commission men fare the ones who are reaping the harvest as a general thing for the growers will ship in consignment rather than sell at prevailing prices Some sales are being made of course but the figures have been considerably in advance of any formerly heard and the strictest silence is maintained as to the exact quotations made Shipments of wool purchased by the buyers within the past week or ten days are now being made freely the holdings having become be-come sufficiently heavy to make wool trains possible One of these trains went out over the Rio Grande Western yesterday afternoon from Payson there being seven carloads consigned direct to Boston Of these five were sent out by Charles Andrews and company com-pany of Xephi and the other two by Eiseman Brothers The wool sent east by Andrews and company cost that house a clean S cents per pound while the Eisemanns received on consIgnment consign-ment having advanced about 6 cents for the same mode Cleaned Out The Tooele country has been cleaned out entirely and there is not a pound of wool in the county for sale or if there is the buyers do not seem able to find it W L Pickard and Albert Sisemann returned from Tooele yesterday yester-day afternoon having spent the day in the search for wool which they were notified was in the county It was earned that the last two clips those of England and Smith making four carloads had been sold on Friday night to Summerhayes and compan and the shipment was made ito this city last evening Upon his return from the west Mr Pickard purchased the clip of R H Winder consisting of 17500 pounds for the Fisemanm Brothers It is understood that he paid S cents for the same |
