Show STRUCK BY A CAR Ip I But the Xotorman Was C1earl Not to Blame if One of J G McDonalds delivery Wagons driven by W J Campbe l was struck by a Warm Springs streqt car below FirSt South at 11 oclocl yesterday yester-day morning Campbell was driving along behind a load of hay which ob scurpd the car from his view and Vike wise concealed his rig from the motorman motor-man He turned to cross the track justin just-in time to get run down The car No 22 with A L Gleason motornwn was I going down at ordinary speed but the current was so quickly reversed as to greatly lessen the force of the collision The frol1t end of the car struckt the wagon throwing out the driver iand breaking the double trees The horses were knocked down and slightly injured in-jured about the feet and the harness was badly bl ken Campbell pIcked himself up several feet away from the Wagon and sustained a badly bFiiIsed knee The guard of the car wasibent over but no further damage was aonc At McDonalds tore last wal was state that Campbell does not h la anyone any-one to blame fortheaccident |
