| Show INSURGENTS STAMPEDED I Pnnlcstrickenily the Nebraska Yell and Took tn the Woods XC York March 29A dispatch to th Herald from Manila says Information Informa-tion reaches here that indicates the insurgent in-surgent caDital has been moved from lIialolos to San Fernando The army has not advanced today The men ue building bridge and waiting for supplies sup-plies to come up The insurgents burned Bulacan this afternoon Marines are patrolling Mal abon The lines are being strengthened i at Pasaj and some firing is going on In the vicinity of that place When General MacArthurs forces encamped i en-camped last night the Third artillery It was across the bridge in lIarilao J1iJ i I the Nebraska regiment Was in the 1 woods on the extreme right The other I I = G1 u trooJs had not gone across the river At halfJast 5 oclock the insurgents appeared on the edge of the woods a mile long and advanced quIcklY swinging swing-ing to the left to drive the Third artillery ar-tillery away from the bridge This was the first time in the war that th = insurgents in-surgents had advanced in military order or-der against our forces The Kansas volunteers nromntly crossed tIle bridge in columns of fours to give support to the Third artillery They lost two men killed and SOme wounded in their advance At the annie time the First Montana regiment crossed the river on a Jon tool bridge and took position on the qatreme left so as to be able to nut in I back of the insurgents if the latter came far enough hEY lost six men wounded in this movement while the Third artillery had two sergeants and one man killed and two wounded Masked by the woods the Nebraska volunteers were not seen by the enemy They suddenly opened a flank fire on the insurgent line and left their trenches with a great shout At sight of them the whole insurgent force officers and men fled Iellmell The eager Nebraska men chased them I a mile and a half but were finally I drawn back by General 1IlacArthur to preserve the line intact |
