| Show SUNDAY SCHOOL WORKERS Closing Session of Their Convention Held Last Evening The closing session of the Salt Lake county Sunday school convention was held in the First Presbyterian church last night The first number on the programme after the opening praise r service was a criticism by Mrs Elizabeth Eliza-beth Eurgens of Du Bois Point of Contact which was full of good thoughts A report of the work accomplished ac-complished during the past year was read by Secretary Mrs AAr S Giesy which was full of encouragement Next I came the report of Treasurer Hills which showed a balance on hand The committee on nominations reported I pZre Cdi i of ported recommending the reelection all of the old officers except Treasurer F AAr Hills who had positively refused to act on account of press of other duties du-ties Sam Williamson was nominated in his stead These officers were elected elect-ed unanimously as follows Robert B Quay president AA F Ed ingfield vice president Mrs AV S Glesy secretary Sam Williamson treasurer Mrs M Grant Majors chairman executive committee The executive committee is to consist con-sist of all of the superintendents of the schools pf the county The committee com-mittee on resolutions reported strongly endorsing the normal work the Sabbath Sab-bath movement extending thanks to the trustees of the First Presbyterian church for the use of the building also thanks to the retiring officers to the morning papers for courtesies extended I and to the Church Messenger Mrs Lakin of the Salt Lake college delivered an instructive talk on the Value of Music as a Factor in Sunday Sun-day School Work |
