Show COMING TO INSrtCT SITES GOVERNMENT ARCHITECT TO PAY VISIT TO SALT LAKE He Will Be Here After Bids For the Construction of the New Public Building Ale Open Special to The Herald Washington DC April 29Charles E Keeper chief executive officer of the supervising architects office will soon leave for Salt Lake and other Rocky Mountain cities for the purpose of inspecting in-specting sites whIch have been tendered tender-ed for public buildings under the acts passed at the late session of congress It has been customary heretofore to send sPecial agents of the denartment on such missions But the importance of the Salt Lake site and some of the others In the mountain region led Supervising Su-pervIsIng Architect Taylor to believe that a more definite personal knowledge knowl-edge of local con lt1onsl would be of great assistance In makIng the selections selec-tions This can certainly be obtained by a visit from Mr Kemper who has long been In the supervising architects office and who has oHen taken full charge of the ofilce He will leave for the west about a week after the Salt Lake bids are opened May G being the date set for that event |
