545 and durIng dur-Ing those two hours the local bal enthusiasts en-thusiasts watched with unabated interest inter-est the best game Salt Lake has seen thus far this season i The people kept on coming until the bleachers were hued and the sidelines crowded making 1 500 or 600 attendance attend-ance On the south bleachers the Y I 11 C A rooters established headquarters headquar-ters and with a few warwhoops Planted Plant-ed their triangles with such a confident air that the Short Line boys began to I wonder if their opponents had a few cards up their sleeve The Short Lines sent down the usual large number of folowers and these scattered about seemingly satisfied that their champions could win without with-out any united movement In the way unied of rooting A few of the fair sex also lent their presence to the occasion A God Game Taken as a whole the game was avery a-very good one The first two Innings did not give much promise of a close contest the Y T C A having everything I every-thing its own way Bennett HuShe and Clemens ran up three successive tallies at the very outset Burns missed I miss-ed and Griggs and Campbel came In Miller took up the bat with two more 1ler I for the Short Line and was put out on a short grounder Walier got a base but a Barnes immediately fell down on lJt a fly to centelfield and Taylor funned fy leaving the score 5 to 0 at the end of the first inning V I innll Hopkins went to bat for the Y I C A in the second and got a base on balls He managed to get around but Bennett Hughey and Clemons were putout I put-out Again the O S L did not
