Show UNITED GARMENT WORKERS The Permanent Injunction Asked for by Employers Denied NEW YORK April Arguments upon the order granted last week by Judge i Lawrence directing the United Garment Workers to show cause why they should not be restrained from sending out boycott boy-cott circulars to customers of the clothing cloth-ing Manufacturing association was heard today by Judge Barrett in supreme chamber cham-ber Judge Barrett at the conclusion of the argument dissolved the temporary injunction and dismissed the motion for a permanent one as it seemed to him the plaintiffs were fundamentally wrong in their form of action There was a combination com-bination on both sides on one side were a number of men with immense capital on the other a number of men with no capital Each side seemed able to take care of itself and a court of equity should keep hands off Both parties were in such a position that they must keep within the law they were evidently at arms length and if one came into court and asked to have the other restrained it looked very much like that side was striking below the belt Lawyer Johnson said he would arrange to bring individual action against the defendants |
