OCR Text	Show FOREST FIRES Many Turpentine Orchards In North Carolina Destroyed RALEIGH N C April 5Th greatest forest fires ever known there are raging in the heart of the pine district Thousands Thou-sands of trees just bored are destroyed and many people owning turpentine orchards are ruined One man lost 200 acres of trees The town of West End was nearly wiped out where three large stores and contents the postotfice and several dwellings were burned At least twelve turpentine distilleries and scores of dwellings scattered in the woods burned with great quantities of rosin
