Show SERIOUS ACCIDENT Joseph Patrick Falls from a Train at Saltair A serious accident occurred at Saltair last night Joseph Patrick who had been watching the dancers in the pavilion pavil-ion tried to get on the train leaving the beach at 10 oclock while it was in motion mo-tion and caught hold of the guard on the third car from the rear but missed his footing and was thrown violently to tho platform his left ankle striking tho bottom step and injuring it quite I seriously Dr Groves chanced to bo present and he bandaged tho wounded limb and Mr Patrick was then placed the baggage car which had been detached and brought to town on a special Arriving Ar-riving here he was quickly conveyed to t his homo Tit No 173 B street where Dr Marshall attended him It was reported that the wheels had passed over the limb and that amputation amputa-tion would be necessary but the physician says this It incorrect The company deserves great praise for the manner in which it cared for the injured in-jured man Mr Patrick is a son of Robert Patrick proprietor of the Eighteenth Ward store |
