I I Tragic End ot an illicit love I Titttitlnc Colo Oct 22fSpecia1 telegram I tele-gram to THE HEHALD Mrs A E Wat Bon formerly of Price and T A Mercer an express messenger on the Rio Grande j have been living together at this point for j some time although Mercer has a wife and I chudren at Colorado Springs Last night i they quarreled and to end the dispute three j pistol shots were fired One of the neighbors neigh-bors forcing an entrance into the room tho woman was found to bo dead and Mercer was fatally wounded He claims the I woman shot him through the abdomen and then killed herself and that he seized the I pistol and put a bullet in Us head His statement is doubted and every thing points ito i i-to the act being his I j
