Show BAPTIST CONVENTION One at Indianapolis Listens to Reports of Committees INDIANAPOLIS July 15The Baptist Young Peoples convention continued today to-day with swelteringly hot weather The forenoon session was devoted to reports of committees on miscellaneous business followed by an opsn parliament on the subject of conquest meeting and mass workers in conference with addresses and reports limited to ten minutes each The afternoon session opened with a great praise service followed by a symposium sympo-sium on the subject Our lesser federations federa-tions and a number of interesting papers At 4 p m state rallies were held in nearly all the churches of the city This evening four mass meetings known a meetings oi the colors will be held in the city churches On Sunaay all city pulpits will be filled by visitors Pandemonium reigned in the Baptist convention just before the noon adjournment adjourn-ment by the receipt of a message to the effect Fair closed tighter than a clam A hymn of praise followed The afternoon session was devoted to a symposium the general topic of which was Our lesser federations benefits and needs There was no session of the convention proper in the evening but various meetiugs were held at which a number of interesting addresses was heard Among the speakers was L D Swishy of Oakland Cala and Rev N 0 Felter of Spokane Wash |
