Show The TylerLast Chance Case BOISE CITY Idaho January 16Special telegram to THE HERALD Testimony of Engineer Loring in the TylerLast Chance mining suit was that on examination he had found the vein passing through the Tyler claim and dipping into the Last ste Chance The greatest width of the lode was in the Stem Winder where it was ISO feet between walls This vein extended through a great many claims in all of which he could locate the hanging wall more or less definite as the line beyond which no mineral could be found 10 except ex-cept In seams or feeders Ho had tried the vein from the Tyler to the Last Chance and introduced some camples of ore taken about ten feet apart Idt The defense admitted here was an ore connection between the claims but by crossexamination labored to show that the alleged hanging wall was in fact no walL Witness was considerably bothered on I crossexamination aud could not explain tho discrepency between the course of his hanging wall at different points the Last Chance Three other important witnesses were examined M Porter Tom Gibbons and Mr Ross all expertsfor the plaintiff Their testimony in brief was that the apex of the ledge runs the entire length of the T lor and that both walls of the ledge are exposed within the side lines in quite a number of places Mr Porters testimony was quite clear and positive Plaintiff it is thought will be able to close up testimony on Monday when the defense will take the floor Mr Heybourn displays masterly knowledge knowl-edge of all points involved and is expected tocmake strong defense Interest in the case continues the court room being crowed daily The Keyes brothers and one Aschonberg were lodged in the penitentiary yesterday They were sent up from Lath county for cattle stealing J R Burns twice arrested for attempt ing to leave the state in order as is charged to swindle creditors has at last 1 Urned on his prosecutors and sued McDonald Mc-Donald a Boise saloon keeper for 5000 damages |
