Sleeting Switchmens C mniitjes CHICAGO Ausr Representatives of the Switchmens Mutual Aid association had a meeting this morning with the grievance griev-ance committees of the switchmen on all the roads running into Chicago The meeting was called to devise means if possible t settle the difficulties threatening threaten-ing the railroad traffic ofthe city Before the meeting opened Grand Organizer Hall said to a reporter The situation is just this I any road attempts to compelits switchmen to handle freight from the stockyards stock-yards it will very speedily have a strike on its hands In this way the matter will be brought t the attention of the association associa-tion which will make the fight its own In that way a general tieup of a the roads may become a reality There is a prospect pect of 1 settlement of the Chicago Alton t strike A committee strikers is now in conference with the general manager i P 1 r I
