Show The Sugar Plant Work on the new sugar plant at Lehi is being rapidly pushed Excavations are under way and the laying of the foundation will begin in a few days Architects are busily engaged on the plans which are only slightly in advance of the work and are being carried along with it The buildings will be entirely of brick and stone and are large and roomy the main building being 172 x IS feet three stories in height the annex is 172 x 40 feet two and three stories in height In addition to these there are three sheds each 25 x 300 feet giving a total floor space of nearly 00000 square feet The improvements on the grounds not including railroad switches etc will amountio G5000 The contracts have already bden let for doing the work and 200000 worth of machinery has been ordered David T Keiller is the architect who is preparing thoplans Elias Morris has the constract for the stone work and Taylor Romney Armstrong Co have the contract con-tract for furnishing the necessary woodwork wood-work The building will be completed in ample time for the coming sugar season A carload of beet seed is to be furnished by among the the company farmers and will be distributed |
