Show I CHA3IBBROF COMMERCE MEETING No More Money to be Spent in Outside Advertising Ad-vertising 5500 for the Fourth of July At a special meeting of the directors of the chamber of commerce last evening it was decided that in view of tho fact that I the chamber of commerce has recently done a great deal of special advertising in the papers throughout tho country a resolution resolu-tion was passed expressing as a sense of the directors that for the rest of this year no more of the chamber of commerce funds be expended for foreign advertising unless it be for some special purpose The chamber has in contemplation a number of matters outside of advertising advertsing which will require large outlays of money On motion of Colonel Donnellan tie president and secretary were authorized to subscribe the sum of 500 to the fund for the Fourth of July celebration and trades pageant propositions of tho Utah Frio Pressc the Times the Tribune and TUT HEIIALD to publish special additions containing elaborate elabo-rate descriptive and illustrative matter were laid over for the time being will be given consideration at some early future meeting The directors adjourned to meet next Tuesday night when they will meet in con junction with the special committee ap pointed by the citizens meeting last Mon day night for the purpose of inaugurating a programme for the Fourth of July celebration I bration and trades parade |
